I Visited Southend -on-Sea on Friday 29th April to watch Southend v Bradford City on Saturday 30th April, After the game we came to Subway for 2 foot long chicken & bacon Flat breads and coke and crisps,I paidroughly £15 for these as I was told they weren't on the meal deal, I got the same thing in Bradford a week prior and was charge roughly £11 I presume it was because of the meal deal? The flatbread was really nice I have no complaints regarding that, but we visited Subway which is one of my favourite places to eat before our long four hour drive back to Bradford and we didn't want to stop on the motorway I asked if I could use theWC which are upstairs but was closed off by a concertina gate, but to my disgust the server Mat, said his manager had told him nobody can use the facilities when the upstairs area is closed, I pleaded with him and told him we would not doing anything upstairs and all we wanted to do was use the WC as we had a long drive and one of the reasons we had come in here and sit down to eat was to use the facilities after as we had a very long drive ahead of us. It is a legal requirement for a food establishment to offer WC facilities if you have a seating area, I was absolutely disgusted with his attitude and think that the Manager who made this ruling needs to be reprimanded and I would like to have a free voucher for £15 for the inconvenience of having to go elsewhere to use the facilities. re-opened and you can fill it if you knew what it used to be as i work near the victoria centre i went in and had horrible experience found hair in my coffee and sub wasnt toasted properly even as it was rush the guy serving me took sub out before time finishes so total waste of time and money,,,, i am not going back again

I eat at Subway regularly and absolutely love the food. The bread is baked fresh in their in-store ovens on a daily basis and they also bake cookies and danish fresh too. The store is always kept nice and clean and a big point for me is clean loos (I always wonder what the kitchens are like if the loos are dirty). The serving staff wear gloves that they change for every sandwich, so inspire confidence that they are not transferring germs onto your sandwich.
